Rooted in the "deck jacket" worn by the US Navy for deck work, this military masterpiece was officially adopted by the US Army Air Corps as the "A-1" flight jacket in 1927. This jacket is a reinterpretation of that lineage by Mr. Tamada of **Tamme**, a brand specializing in military wear. While retaining the historical background of the original A-1, it adds a design that is easy to incorporate into everyday life and a modern feel. It has been elevated into a jacket that fits into modern urban life. Furthermore, it is a jacket that also combines practicality, with a heat-rebounding sheet (rechargeable) in the back that serves to keep you warm. *The mini battery is stored in the inner left chest pocket.
Tamme is a Tokyo-based menswear label established in 2021 by designer Tatsuya Tamada, originally from Fukushima. Following his graduation from Bunka Fashion College in 2012, Tamada studied abroad in Paris and then spent six years honing his craft at Sacai before debuting Tamme’s 2021 Fall/Winter collection. Dedicated to honoring the history and culture of clothing, Tamme proposes contemporary garments that blend classic and modern elements. By reconstructing these pieces for the present, they offer a diverse and unbound perspective on fashion. The brand received the TOKYO FASHION AWARD 2025, and Tamada is also a recipient of the 86th Soen Award.
